Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers.
Today, I had the pleasure of spending Mother's Day with my mom. Every year I try to plan something she'll like or take her to a new restaurant...we're both foodies. And every year, no matter how hard I work to make it a special day, it all boils down to one simple fact, I can never make it more special than the day she became my mom.
I can shop every mall and boutique in the world and I'll never be able to find a gift to say, "Thank you for enduring months of sharing your body with me, bed rest for several months, bizarre food cravings, swollen feet, weird body functions and sleepless nights, to name a few.
My mom is my bestie, my prayer partner, fashion consultant, shopping buddy and cheerleader. Some say we look alike, which I'm proud to hear. Others say we have similar mannerisms, style and passion for life. We push each other to dream and try new things. My mom is tough, sweet, loving and beautiful inside and out. Love you Mom.
