This is an unusual suspect because he hasn’t really been very visible in the last book or this one. So why is he a possible suspect? He has a verified connection to Francois Marchant and Phillippe’s Grandmere.
Gabriella and Phillippe believe a consortium including Madame Dumond, Francois, Richard Lucas and possible Phillippe’s mother, conspired to save Morgan Grant. They also believe one or all of the people in this group is responsible for making her a billionaire.
Richard Lucas is a Morgan Grant board member. He was also instrumental in pushing his friend Henry Dumond out of the CEO chair. Richard warned Henry about his reckless behavior. Henry ignored him and was eventually pushed out by his daughter, Elizabeth.
Why is he a suspect? He made a statement to Gabriella and Phillippe eluding to his knowledge of the CEO’s wife inheritance. A five percent stake of multi-billion dollar Morgan Grant. He also gave the impression he might know about their elopement.
